QET delivers training in Battery Storage Systems

Competencies Delivered:

UEERE0054 Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems.

UEERE0060 Design grid-connected battery storage systems.

UEERE0077 Install battery storage equipment power conversion equipment to grid.

UEERE0078 Install battery storage to power conversion equipment.

People with the Grid Connect Design and Install Solar Licence can complete all competencies and be eligible for the Grid Connect Design and Install Battery Endorsement.

This training is being delivered by Chris Williamson. Chris has over thirty years experience in teaching trade and advanced trade in the electrical industry. He has accreditation for both Grid-Connected and Off-Grid Battery Systems. Chris will guide you through these competencies, provide helpful hints, suggest ways in which to do things, and make sure you are aware of the regulations, standards, and your responsibilities.

Delivery:

Course Material: QET has produced a comprehensive Learning Guide. The learning guide takes you step by step through the design and install of a hybrid system, calculating battery sizing, protection sizing and cable sizing in accordance with AS/NZS3000:2018 and AS/NZS3008.1.1:2017.

Installing Battery System

QET practical component includes disassembly and reassembly of AC and DC coupled systems, lithium and lead-acid battery storage, and switchboards with essential and non-essential loads.

Assessment:

Theory Assessment:

In accordance with the competency assessment guidelines and will assess your ability to design a hybrid system.

  • Earthing

Practical Assessment:

In accordance with the competency assessment guidelines and will assess your ability to install a hybrid system.

You will be required to install battery system, multimode inverter, protection, cabling, and earthing in accordance with Australian/ NZ Standards framework.
